Let's Connect
- Teacher Externship: Teachers visit a business related to their area of expertise to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the industry
- Job Shadow: Students visit a business related to a career interest where they can observe, ask questions, etc. This could be an individual or a small group. This can be arranged through the workforce coordinator or integrated into a classroom experience.
- Facility Tour: Students and/or educators visit a business for a tour of their facility. This can be arranged through the workforce coordinator or integrated into a classroom experience.
- Internships: Hands-on learning opportunities for students within a company for one semester (flex scheduling). Students are given appropriate tasks, projects, etc. to gain skills and experience. This could be a paid or unpaid opportunity. The workforce coordinator will work closely with the business and student throughout the entire internship. Students will register for an internship in their course schedule once they have met all requirements/prerequisites.
- Guest Speaking: Professionals from specific careers present information to a small or large group of students. This would be integrated into a classroom experience.
- Mentoring: Students are paired with professionals from specific careers to occasionally meet and ask questions, review resumes, practice a mock interview, or reflect on future goals. This can be arranged through the workforce coordinator or integrated into a classroom experience.
- Events: Professionals volunteer their time to host an informational table at a career event, assume the role of an interviewer in a mock interview experience, participate in a panel discussion, etc.
- Career professionals are encouraged to reach out to the workforce coordinator to discuss industry needs, trends, certifications, and partnership opportunities.
- Advisory Board: Career professionals volunteer their time to meet at least twice a school year to discuss industry needs, trends, certifications, and partnership opportunities.
