Business in a Global Economy

Program Description

Students will have the opportunity to engage in real-world experiences in a business environment where they can learn and grow in areas that may offer future employment opportunities. Students will spend the semester learning about the economy and how it relates to everyday life through guest instructors, site visits, and business projects. Previous site visits have included: Cambria, Electromed, Life Time Corp., Target Corp., the Timberwolves franchise, and Second Swing. In addition, students will be assigned a mentor from the community that they meet with monthly. This course blends the disciplines of verbal and written communication, soft skills, and economics as students gain an understanding of working in a business related career.

You will need to:
  1. Be a Junior or Senior and on track to graduate on time.
  2. Have a good attendance and behavior record.
  3. Provide your own transportation.
  4. Register for the course and then complete the online information form that will be emailed to you.
