Current 8th Grade

What to Expect Next Year

Each year, we look forward to dedicating our first day of school to the Freshman Class and Link Crew at NPHS. Link Crew is a nationally recognized program designated to make the transition to high school a positive one.

Junior and Senior students will serve as leaders and mentors for all incoming 9th graders starting on the first day of school and for the rest of their 9th grade year. Throughout the orientation, large and small group activities are designed to address students' needs and concerns. Students will go through an abbreviated daily schedule to find their classrooms, meet their teachers, and experience lunch. We'll have plenty of fun along the way and look forward to welcoming you to NPHS on orientation day!

What to Expect this Year

New Prague High School administrators and counselors will visit NPMS to introduce themselves to 8th grade students and welcome them as they prepare for the 2026-2027 school year. Student leaders, including upper class Link Crew leaders and current 9th grade students, will be there to help answer students' questions about student life at NPHS.

February 9, 2026 -  Initial Meeting at NPMS

Administrators and Counselors will review the following with students:

  • Graduation Requirements
  • Specific 9th grade required courses
  • Tips for choosing courses
  • Options for earning college credit while in the high school
  • What to expect once students are in the high school
  • Students will receive their registration worksheet

February 17, 2025 - Counselors return to NPMS

  • During this time, students will be entering their course selections into Infinite Campus
  • Students should bring the registration worksheet they received on February 9, 2025
  • Counselors will be there to answer any questions students might have about their course selections.

We encourage families to discuss selection with their students after the February 9th meeting so students are prepared to enter their courses into Infinite Campus on February 17th.
